Who is Alyxxe?
Alyxxe, the artistic project of singer-songwriter Alysse G. Benavides, is a harmonious fusion of soulful cadences and contemporary rock vibes akin to the likes of Kings of Leon, Cage the Elephant, and Amy Winehouse. Infused with indie-pop influences reminiscent of Panic! At The Disco, Halsey, and 5SOS, Alyxxe's musical journey is nothing short of unique and novel.
Alysse's creative outlet had always been writing, with a handwritten journal brimming with poems and short stories, Alysse found solace in letting her words take her to other worlds. It was her father's encouragement that led her to intertwine melodies with her poems. With newfound time during quarantine, she picked up the guitar and ukulele, dedicating herself to honing the art of songwriting. At the age of 19, she ventured on her own to Austin, Texas, driven by an unwavering commitment to a pursue a career in songcraft and performance.
Just as The Beatles embraced an eclectic discography, Alyxxe traverses diverse genres and sounds to craft innovative music destined for global resonance. Her lyrics transcend mere verses, weaving narratives that foster connections among people and within themselves.
Career
Alysse's artistic passion was kindled from an early age, as she found solace in performing for audiences both known and unknown. Hailing from the border town of Laredo, Texas, her childhood was a tapestry of diverse interests, including multiple team and solo sports, dance and cheer, gymnastics, band, and musical theatre. Her trajectory was initially right on course to secure an athletic scholarship to a D1 university. However, the unforeseen disruption of the COVID-19 pandemic in her senior year altered the course of her life. With no season to achieve marks, Alysse instead accepted an academic scholarship at her local university and delved further into her interests of theatre, writing, and music.
Since her relocation to Austin, TX in 2020, Alyxxe, now 22, has graced the stage at more than 36+ live shows across the Lone Star State, and soon to make her debut in Las Vegas this upcoming June. Her melodic prowess has resonated at local music festivals, events, receptions, and bars in towns such as Laredo, Austin, San Marcos, Pflugerville, and Georgetown.
Balancing her roles as a performing artist and small business manager, Alysse was awarded her bachelor's degree in Communications and Media Production at Texas A&M International University last year in December '23 a month prior to the release of her debut single, "On The Run" (now streaming!). Her academic endeavors seamlessly integrate with her music career, empowering her to craft her music videos, design album artwork, develop her website, and employ social media tools with unparalleled creative authority and visibility.
Alyxxe's journey has been enriched by collaborations with esteemed industry professionals, musicians, and audio engineers, including the likes of Jason Agel, Jon Muq, McKenna Michaels, Allen Parker, Kevin Womack, and Maiya Sykes. Her musical odyssey is poised to captivate hearts and minds, leaving an indelible mark on the world of sound and storytelling
